During the last few days in the UK with Jen, we stayed at a friend’s flat in Fernhurst, a beautiful village south of London. The place was crisscrossed with public footpaths, and we took turns going in different directions exploring the area.

I fell in love with these footpaths and how the English have preserved them; they are ley lines, energetic paths of connection that maintain a centuries old love of the land.

This particular day, the footpath took me to a farm with horses. One pasture had three horses; one pair of obvious friends and an odd man out. The three were wearing fly masks over their heads; see-thru skirts that cover their eyes to protect them from the many flies buzzing around.

I walked up to the fence, about twenty feet from where they were and put out my hand…

The pair came over first; while one sniffed my open palm, the other rested his chin on his buddy’s back. They were very comfortable and physical with each other. They turned side to side, facing in opposite directions, and when one would swish his tail, it would flick the flies off his friend’s face.

I wasn’t feeding them any grass and they moved off, content to nuzzle each other. I went over to the solo horse, his aloneness triggering loneliness in me.

He came over and smelt my hand. He was more cautious, and kept shying away. I quieted myself more deeply in response, and then he lifted his head over the fence and nuzzled me.

Something in me melted… in an instant we became old friends. I petted him, and the more comfortable I got, the more confident my hand moved; rubbing and scratching his ears, his head, his mane…

As I rubbed and scratched, love flowing freely between us, I wondered where the guidance and inspiration for my freely moving hand came from…

Touch is powerful, an intimate physical expression of connection and caring… touching this horse is the same as petting a cat, stroking our lover’s face, massaging a friend’s shoulders…

My hand glides across the horse, going here, scratching there… the subtleties of it’s movement is independent of ‘me’… Its motion exudes grace, is the embodiment of caring, an expression of love… I watch as some loving force guides this hand in a nurturing union with the horse…

Is the guidance for the movement of my hand coming from me, from ‘my’ intuition? Is the horse intuitively telling me where to rub?  Exactly where does the inspiration of how to lovingly touch another come from?

Our world is changing faster and faster… and our hearts are opening just as fast. And more and more, our expanding hearts guide us to be and act in ways we might think are crazy!

I’ve followed some of what felt like crazy guidance lately… things that, when I first heard them, my mind’s reaction was ‘No way’!

The first was doing a headstand in an ancient standing stone circle, the other was jumping into a freezing lake with a half dozen drowning warning signs… (each of these will be their own blog post, for they each taught me something powerful.)

The headstand I thought about for maybe 15 minutes before I acted – (there was a small window of opportunity). The jump in the lake, I had all night to think about…

I made this video on the walk back from the lake!

Love,

Joe

Jen and I decided to put our thumbs to work today… with amazing results!!!

It took only two rides to get from Cork to Killarney; both rides went out of their way to bring us further.

Lorrie and Emma took us the back roads – and along the way we stopped at the highest pub in Ireland! (Learned a few curse words in Gaelic too!)

Life is flowing, always flowing… we just have to stick out our thumb and catch the ride!

I’ve known about crop circles for decades, have seen amazing photos and heard friend’s firsthand accounts…

Now, after standing (and meditating and toning and napping) in one, all I can say is…

WTF!

Why doesn’t every major newspaper around the world have a photo of the latest crop circle on its front cover???

Jen and I are leading a ‘Wide Awakening’ adventure trip here to crop circle country during crop circle season, and now that I’m face-to-face with the phenomenon, I am in awe…

We’ll be posting a video of our escapades shortly (when we slow down enough to put it together), in the interim, here’s photos of three of the circles our merry little pod of ‘croppies’ has visited.

As you look at there, give yourself permission to remember…

Because these circles are speaking to you, to ALL of us, right now…

Enjoy!

Love,

Joe

The Gulf spill is a big deal… I don’t usually tune into painful situations much, don’t want to feed them energy (90% of what we worry about never comes to pass!). But my guidance continues to call me back to the Gulf, with the message to call others to be proactive and send their light.

Just last week I read an online channeling from Kryon from last February talking about underground reservoirs that, accidentally tapped into, could create huge problems.

“It’s not just dangerous for the driller, but can be dangerous for the planet. On the way down through the crust of the earth to the five kilometer mark, you go through pockets of attributes… releasing gas perhaps; releasing fire, perhaps; releasing water, perhaps. If nothing else, sometimes you interrupt what we will call the integrity of the lubricant of the shale itself. What I’m saying here is you might even advance the potential of an earthquake, all by drilling down only five kilometers.”

And now messages from geologists of the floor of the Gulf becoming unstable. Lots is happening!

I’ve posted comments, blogs and videos encouraging people to be actively involved from a place of love and optimism. Hey, millions of people thinking of the Gulf as dead is a deadly idea! Rather, let’s stay focused on the Gulf as beautiful, as she has been and will be.

And then another wave of Gulf news… its pretty easy to get sucked back into being fearful… Yet I know the price of fear and the power of love. (I like that comment, it gives me peace… thank you muse)

The other day my friend Beth forwarded me an email… A message from the ‘Grandmothers, it references desperation and much death, which I pull back from.

It also had some very inspiring imagery, a ‘Net of Light‘, that resonates powerfully within me. I’m uninterested in sending messages of desperation, but loved the Net of Light, so I spent hours (until 3 am!) trying to make a video about the Net of Light with the desperation removed.

It was more than my software could handle… I was frustrated… asking for assistance, and found that someone already made the video with the desperation left out (except for the title)!!!

This is a beautiful imagery, please join me in envisioning a Net of Light for the Gulf!

Love,

Joe

Wow, its crazy today… Its been crazy all week!

Anyone notice how fast things are moving these days? And they’re going to keep moving faster!

What to do? Regardless of how hectic, I can always return to the breath…

Breath…      Smile…     Relax…       Its a foolproof formula!

Amidst a whirlwind of doing, responding, preparing and organizing, a single breath brings me back to center…

Again and again…

And again…

Again…

Ahhh…

We touched! It was sooo cool…

I was on my way to the boat, and stopped by to see Shorty and Julie on the way. I brought them some of the grouper I got the other day.

They were sitting out back on the porch, overlooking the beach below. Their porch has a commanding view of the water just steps below.

“We’ve been watching two manta rays cruising the beach all morning”, they said.

I was excited, I’ve seen the manta rays here on occasion, they come to Bimini for a few weeks every summer. I’ve tried to swim with them a few times over the years, but they’re very skittish.

“Here he comes now!” Julie said, pointing down the beach.

Their bluff is maybe fifteen feet above the white sand, and as I looked down the beach, I could see a large dark shape gliding towards us.

I needed no second thought! I dropped my backpack, stripped off my shirt, grabbed my mask and fins and ran down the steps to the beach.

He was maybe two hundred feet away, moving slowly. I was tempted to jump right in, but didn’t want to make a splash he could hear. So I ran further down the beach to put more distance between us.

(Here’s where the camera starts rolling)

I was so excited, my hands were trembling! I put on my mask and fins and backed into the shallow water…

There’s a narrow strip of rocks in about three feet of water, then its pure white sand all the way out to the reef. I position myself over the rocks and wait…

My heart’s beating fast, and knowing that he might get spooked by its rapid pace, I breath slow and easy, calming myself…

Here he comes!!!

I made an album of photos from spearfishing here in Bimini on Facebook last night and it ignited a flurry of replies!

Does killing fish for my dinner make me a murderer?

Does fishing with reverence make it ok?

Is it hypercritical to kill fish and save dolphins?

It was an interesting debate and conversation, and I initially invited people to join in. I thought it would raise awareness.

But instead of building tolerance for differing points of view, it got pretty self righteous. Some offensive comments were posted which have since been deleted.

Its great to be passionate, and we’re free to judge and condemn another’s actions. But as we become a global Humanity, we’re taking tolerance to a whole new level.

Might as well get used to it! ;)

Love,

Joe

Our love for the Ocean is divine and cellular… How do we effectively respond to recent events in the Gulf of Mexico?

Rather than react in fear, (I’ve had enough of that, haven’t you?) let us reply with the most powerful force in creation…
