All on a single breath…

by Joebaby on September 19, 2009

I’m back in West Texas, led a company retreat for my friend Allison’s dental practice the past two days. We went back to the same ranch and this time came up with a new company mission statement, all the while elevating our collective awareness into shifting out of our stories and into the present moment (more details later – it will be juicy!)

So today Allsion and Sandra did dental work on me. I had approximately 12 old fillings removed from 6 teeth, and four teeth prepped for onlays (onlays are like a short crown).

All without novicane. None. Nada.

Did it hurt?

Depends on your definition of hurt. Many of the fillings went way past the enamel and into the sensitive dentin. (OK, I”m bragging now…)

How did I do it without novicane?

By breathing…

Whenever it hurt (yes, it hurt), I would take a deep breath, and let everything go…

And another deep breath…

And another…

(are you with me yet?)

And another…

And just notice…

The same way I’m going to sleep in a few minutes…

A deep breath…

And notice…
