We’ve taken one of the most intelligent animals on the planet and confined them to a tiny pool, commanding them to do our tricks on our schedule.

I swam with a pod of captive dolphins once. It was one of the nicest setups, but it was still confinement. That’s why I bring people to swim with wild dolphins and whales – there is no comparison.

Dawn, the trainer at SeaWorld, was the third person that Tilikum, the orca, has killed. I imagine he is a bit crazy living in such confinement. I’ve asked myself; what would he say about what he has done?

The answer was simple, loud and clear….

  1. If I remember correctly they captured this Orca off the coast of Iceland? It worries me that not only is he being violent, he is violent with his trainer…supposedly a trusted friend. I don’t know how they train them to do the things they do but I would imagine hunger has something to do with it?
Animals are euthanized for coming to an area close to people. Even though they were running from forest fires. Many are simply foraging for food.
Maybe he was just hungry, maybe someone was experimenting with God’s knows what since he is a part of a breeding program. Maybe he wanted sex
Maybe just maybe they treat them like the animals in the rodeo..with a hefty shock of some kind if they don’t follow commands.
They have actually made money since this happened.
They can’t turn him loose can they? big liability for a corporation. I feel they will tell us soon that he was ill & died or they had to put him down. It’s such a horrible shame what people do in the name of research.
We’ve all seen horrible things that people do to animals, truly, it makes me ashamed that I am part of the human race.

  2. People thnk I’m a ranting raving idiot I’m sure.
Just take some time (118 minutes) view films like HOME (get the DVD or watch for free) It’s bookmarked in favorites on my youtube channel.
Aerial photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand filmed 120 locations in 54 countries. Glenn Close narrates the story of Earth, our home, in terms of man’s connection with his environment. It is beautiful, glorious, sad, exciting, wistful, triumphant and terrifying, all at the same time.
With education, imagination and courage, we can face the problems and find solutions to the seemingly overwhelming destruction of our earth & our people.
    Enjoy your trip
