I was driving from Florida to Toronto, a 2 day trip.
While driving, I got to make a LOT of phone calls, getting caught up on business, etc. One of the calls was to check and compare car insurance rates.
I spent 30 minutes with Sunny on the phone… she was great! I just about ALWAYS get great customer service; it’s easy… How? I treat them with respect, which they respond with in return.
The one single biggest tip?
Use their name! (We all love to hear the sound of our own name)
I don’t do it to get great customer service, I do it because it feels good. The great service is a byproduct.
So anyway, I pulled over (a unique situation) and filmed this inspired video… inspired by the love I felt after such an affirming conversation.

That is so cool….i did a similar thing with my pay which is outsourced to a company….every pay day i would get short changed…and i would ring up customer service; getting very upset and angry….calling them imbeciles; and how it was illegal not to pay me correctly etc….this went on for 6 months….one day i decided to make a decision and no matter what; i was going to be thankful for the good service…and just know that they were all helping me…and i started to imagine what it would be like if they overpaid me….i did this even when things went wrong…..for about 2 years now; i continually get overpaid….and i have really warm conversations with the customer service people….such a big change from the bitter conversations i used to have…..i love your idea of letting the supervisor know…..so cool…nice one…what a beautiful thing…
Blessings
