I set off in a brand new Renault diesel that i rented, packing a sofa bed and suitcase in the back I was really scared
of crashing and missing turnoffs. Heading for

Edinburgh, i ended up in the South, near Arran. Robert Burns' country. I paid my respects at a cairn set up to honour him I as thought i could get back, but no, the minor highway was blocked and re routed through the very glasgow industrial area that i started from. I almost went past the door! The grey, heavy rain cleared to bright sunshine as i headed east.
The journey across the Forth bridge was amazing! It really lifted me to a peak. What a feat of human ingenuity!
I decided to head north for Aberdeen because of the song about the northern lights. Passing Stonehaven, on impulse i turned
right. There was free parking on the harbour overlooking the sea, no unwelcome signs. The harbour was delightful in the endless twilight. The noise coming from the pubs overlooking the harbour convinced me that i'd indeed entered
an anarchists paradise. No police and hundreds of exited people - the world cup was in its final stages and it coincided
with the last day of the folk festival..!! all under this beautiful, pinky mauve endless twilight. I made friends with some of the folk singers and we decided to go to a venue in another part of town. It was like getting a ride with the furry freak brothers!
What transpired was one of the most enjoyable, humour filled, creative evenings of my life. It was light just after
four so i decided to walk back, getting lost in an industrial estate and a scary dark forest before finding the harbour.
After a little rest i headed for inverness. Again on impulse i turned and found a beautiful sandy beach where i walked
and to my shame only waded, as the water was so cold it hurt. I was intending to bypass Findhorn, but made myself take the turnoff. There was a camping ground, so i hired this huge caravan for 30 pounds. Interestingly there is a base just over the fence where the british are testing their latest multi billion dollar fighters purchased from the USA. They keep taking off and
playing games every few minutes. The nature spirits must be very persistent
I've since moved to Findhorn itself for a couple of days. Findhorn is a mature and serious community in every way. The setting is wild and beautiful. I'm staying in a straw bale house of superb construction. my room is large with a bed upstairs and down, very private and very very peaceful and with modern facilities. Boy, i needed that sleep last night! I took part in a special meditation in the sanctury last night, all were very serious meditators. All was unspoken. I brought the energy from our circles. I expressed my gratitude. I came away blessed. The energy was brilliant! I had previously called for the devas in a peace garden in the afternoon, and confirmed their presence [very strong]. I danced, learning the most amazing indian dances in the universal hall, and after, walked out on the beach for the second time. Almost midnight and still light! The community is right next to a large military base, with the latest fighter planes, helicopters, continually taking off and flying over. Right next again are huge windmill towers. Apparent contrasts. Our world as it is.
