Anyway, i’m at a cafe in Santa Fe checking email. The group next to me leaves, walking out the door. The woman on the other side of me sees they left something on the table, jumps up, runs to the glass and taps…….
They don’t notice, so she runs out the door and hands them their glasses.
“You were fast”, i say, as she sits back down.
“I surprised myself”, she said, “with my hip brace and all…”
How willing are we to be surprised?
By ourselves, no less?
