I came to Upper Michigan for 12 days; 3 days with friends, 5 days on the Leadership Retreat on Isle Royale, then a few more days with friends before heading back south.
That was a month ago.
Life keeps offering great invitations to stay. Today i’m leaving for the 14th annual “Wisdom of the Elders” retreat in Kentucky, driving down with two of the conference elders; Bruck Harwick and Duane Kinnart of the Ojibwa nation. I was offered the opportunity to do my Water Ceremony at the retreat.
I was still doubting my decision to go, (it meant changing my ticket… again) until one of the organizers asked me if i can also do a workshop on Ho’oponopono there. Seems the elder who was scheduled to do so cannot attend.
I stopped doubting.
Then there’s Northeastern University’s 2nd annual Peace Conference. This year’s theme is ‘Fire & Water’, and the organizer invited me to do my Water Ceremony there. .
Sigh, another ticket change… ;)
(Its getting easier to say yes)
Lightworkers, do we ever really ‘get back home’? In ‘Journey to Ixtland’ by Carlos Castenada; Don Gijermo (pardon the spelling) shared that after his spiritual initiations, he kept trying to get back ‘to where he came from’. Until he realized who he’d become had changed so much, there was no going back.
After a powerful experience, a transformational journey, do we ever really ‘get back’ to our (earthly) home? Or are we just kidding ourselves?
Is this what happens when we let Life live itself thru us?
(PS: I’m having way too much fun to complain!)
