Connection, Isn’t it all about connection?

by Joebaby on August 11, 2008

It sure is. We all want to be connected, who wouldn’t want to be, when we come from a place of disconnection.

And i watch the dance happen in my head, between connection and dis-connection.

The left brain seeks connection, seeks to find, build, establish. And why not? From its point of view, we’re 6.5 billion individuals, each with our ow individual thoughts, feelings and desires, one of the primary ones being (after basic needs of food and shelter) the desire for connection.

The right brain just IS. I was going to say it is connection, but even the word ‘connection’ implies that there is such a thing as ‘not’ connection.

And the right brain knows better.

Heaven is the right brain, earth is the left. Heaven just IS, WAS and always will BE.

Earth, on the other hand, (on the other half of the grey lump in your skull), has choices. That’s why it’s called the planet of free will. From our earthly pespective, we get to choose heaven or hell.

Let me re-phrase that… its ALWAYS better (and always is a word to use wisely), when presenting choices, to end with the juicier of the two options.

Hell and all its accompanying drama has lost its shine for me, heaven’s juicier.

So, intentionally re-phrased, (and this blog is ALL ABOUT BEING INTENTIONAL), from our earthly perspective, in each moment, we are choosing either hell or heaven. (doesn’t that feel more heavenly?)

This conversation showed up for me this morning (along with a few others, we’ll see if i get to them) as i was on my morning walk down the block to get a fresh cococnut from my friend the palm.

To be continued…
(isn’t that what we all are, a continuation? From the left brain, oui. From the right brain, (and your limbic right brain already knows the answer to this one, always have, always will), everything already is.

Yes, a lot of mental dental floss, that’s what being up til 3 am overflowing with creativity will do to you, that and a fresh coconut/mint/carrot smoothie. I exercise my mind and its awareness when i walk; why not free two birds with one talk?
