The Big Election is Now! (What are you voting for?)

You can defer responsibility for world peace to the world’s governments if you want. That’s what free will (and free won’t) is all about!

And you can spend lots of time and emotional energy in the drama of politics too!

Hey, when Ron Paul was in the limelight, i felt excitement i’d not felt since, yup, you’re right, the Kennedy administration. (is it true i was only 6 then?)

I held Barack and Hillary’s dance at arm’s length; the media’s coup of Ron Paul’s run broke my heart, and i wasn’t ready to get involved in another relationship.

But i do read the front page, and yup, got sucked in. And now i watch as the next big election is gearing up. You can bet it will be dramatic! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

It all got me to thinking; to what end? As a friend said, how much does it really matter? (Lots! you scream… i know, i know, mee too).

So many things waiting on the outcome of our next election, so many plans, policies, diplomatic relationships, so many treaties, hopes and dreams…

That’s when it hit me. The waiting part. Its another form of gambling; the dice are being rolled and we wait, act, speak, vote, pray…. and it is what it is. Meanwhile, during all that time the dice are being set up, we abdicate.

The big election is now, right now. Today. Here. Now.

You. You are the voter. You are voting right now. Your every thought, word, action is your vote.

Which election are you in? What are you voting for?

You are the swing state. You count. EVERYTHING you do counts, bigger than anyone wants you to know.

‘Cause if you truly know how powerful your every moment of now truly is, if you honestly admit to yourself just how powerful you are, you’ll turn off the TV, cancel the subscription and get focused.

Life is free will. Abdication, or at least the conscious denial that our actions don’t matter, is free won’t.

The beauty of awareness is, once you’ve opened the box, its opened. You can close it, forget you opened it, PRETEND you never opened it, even pray that it all go away, but the truth is, you opened it.
